The Red3 features a four-piece OTL cantilever with a Grado-specific diamond mounted on a brass bushing. Grado’s optimized transmission line (OTL) technology ensures efficient signal transfer from the LP grooves to the cartridge generator, minimizing distortion and unwanted resonances while preserving both fundamental and harmonic frequencies. This reduces motor noise within the cartridge, resulting in quieter records and enhanced spatial imaging with greater depth and detail. Hand-assembled in Brooklyn by experienced technicians, the Red3 delivers exceptional tonal balance, dynamics, and realism. Its advanced coil winding of ultra-pure copper wire, refined from the Lineage Series, ensures perfect channel balance and precise stereo imaging. Powered by a twin magnet system with tightly controlled magnetic components, the cartridge achieves superior stereo separation. The patented Flux-Bridger design provides a low effective moving mass, optimizing performance across the full frequency spectrum for an outstanding audio experience.
