The Gold3 features a four-piece OTL cantilever paired with a Grado-specific elliptical diamond stylus mounted on a brass bushing. Its precision-machined generator reduces distortion and enhances transparency. Grado’s optimized transmission line (OTL) technology ensures efficient signal transfer from the record surface to the generator, minimizing resonance and distortion while preserving music’s fundamental and harmonic tones. This design also reduces motor noise within the cartridge. The OTL stylus and cantilever deliver quieter playback with improved soundstage depth, width, and detail. Hand assembled in Brooklyn by experienced craftsmen, the Gold3 incorporates advancements from the acclaimed Lineage Series, including refined coil winding with ultra-pure copper wire for balanced channels and precise stereo imaging. Powered by a twin magnet system and featuring Grado’s patented Flux-Bridger design, the Gold3 achieves low effective moving mass and excellent frequency balance for realistic dynamics and tonal accuracy.
