Upgrade a wide range of audio/video components, including electronics and subwoofers with recessed AC inlets, with AudioQuest’s Blizzard 3-pole AC power cable. With AudioQuest’s Blizzard delivering uncompressed current, you’ll experience cleaner, clearer, more naturally beautiful and thrilling sound.

Available with C13 and C19 plugs, Blizzard is the midpoint of AudioQuest’s Wind Series, which bridges the gap between the company’s overachieving NRG Series and its flagship Storm Series.

Unmistakably serious high-end products, the Winds are sure to impress those new to high-performance audio. Yet, to anyone who has successfully wrestled a Storm Series cable into an AudioQuest Niagara power conditioner or NRG-Edison outlet, the Winds will seem delightfully thin, flexible, and easy to install. Their relatively slim, molded plug connections allow the Winds to readily mate with just about any piece of equipment, including electronics and subwoofers that use recessed AC inlets.

Like its Wind Series siblings, Monsoon and Silver Cloud, Blizzard incorporates the two crucial AudioQuest design features that allow the Storm Series models to dramatically outperform all previous AudioQuest AC cables: ZERO-Tech for uncompressed current transfer and RF/ND-Tech, which minimizes circuit misbehavior by cancelling induced RF noise.

Of course, tried-and-true AudioQuest technologies are also present in the Wind Series. Blizzard features AudioQuest’s Semi-Solid True-Concentric Perfect-Surface Copper+ conductors that have been carefully controlled for directionality to drain RF noise away from where it would cause the most harm. Blizzard adds AudioQuest’s patented 72v Dielectric-Bias System, which further reduces radio-frequency noise.

Clean power is the foundation to any great audio/video entertainment experience. Treat yours to AudioQuest Blizzard.

  • Perfect-Surface Copper+ Conductors: The astonishingly smooth and pure Perfect-Surface processed conductors minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries and surface discontinuities that exist in any metal conductor. Superior metal greatly reduces ear-fatiguing distortion for a more enjoyable listening experience.
  • True Concentric Conductor Geometry: While Semi-Solid Concentric conductors use fewer, larger strands that do not change position along the length of a cable, True-Concentric conductors push this concept even further, spiraling each successive layer of strands in the direction opposite to the one beneath it. Because this arrangement places more contact pressure at the points of contact, rather than lines of contact, the overall strand interaction distortion is meaningfully reduced.
  • ZERO-Tech for Uncompressed Current Transfer: While many AC power cables feature low DC resistance in order to accommodate the demand for high current, a cable’s characteristic impedance is also crucial for optimal performance. Unlike most AC cables that constrict or compress an audio-provoked transient, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and zero (no) characteristic impedance in order to deliver uncompressed transients on demand.
  • RF/ND-Tech: AC Ground wires may provide protection from an electrical short circuit, but they also act as an antenna. Thus, they are subject to induced radio-frequency noise. This RF noise bypasses component power supplies and is typically coupled directly into a system’s most sensitive audio/video circuits. AudioQuest’s RF/ND-Tech greatly reduces this distortion, yielding unprecedented levels of noise dissipation across the widest range of radio frequencies possible.
  • 72v Dielectric-Bias System (DBS): AudioQuest’s patented DBS creates an electrostatic field that molecularly optimizes the cable’s insulation (dielectric). This minimizes distortion by increasing the dielectric’s efficiency at high frequency, resulting in clearer sound emerging from a “blacker” background. The inclusion of an RF Trap (a proprietary technology developed for AudioQuest’s Niagara Series of power products), further reduces induced radio-frequency noise.
  • High-Quality Molded Plugs: Designed to minimize distortion while easily accommodating a wide range of components, including electronics and subwoofers with recessed AC inlets.
  • Direction-Controlled Conductors: All drawn metal strands or conductors have a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise is drained away from where it will cause distortion. A fundamental aspect of AudioQuest’s multifaceted Noise-Dissipation technology, Direction-Controlled Conductors ensure induced noise is dissipated and drained properly.
